Get to Know Us

Lydia McNeill and Natalie Hartley have over 20 years experience in the fashion industry.  Natalie has worked at magazines ELLE, Sunday Times Style and Glamour and Lydia in retail and personal shopping.  They opened their first shop on Portobello Road selling vintage clothes.  Their own kids have followed their journey and learnt these values of sustainability.  It’s important to teach the kids the value of not throwing their old clothes away and introduce them to up-cycling.  The Chillie Kids Club was created on the back of that teaching kids about this message showing them in fun and creative ways how to recycle their old clothes.

Service Description

Kids upcycle workshops. During our December school holiday camp, we're teaching our kids not to throw away their clothes but to make new of old. Learning about sustainability in fun and creative ways. Kids bring their old clothes and we teach them ways to make them new again! We have extra clothes for anyone who can’t bring old clothes and we have a seamstress on site who also helps bring their designs come to life! We are both from fashion backgrounds so their designs are always modern and useful but we are kid led and love to encourage their own ideas.
